识别风险，它属于风险管理知识领域规划过程组，过程定义是识别单个项目风险以及整体风险的来源，并记录其特征。识别风险并不是做一次就够，应该贯穿整个项目生命周期，还要鼓励所有相关人参与单个风险的识别，因为项目经理一个人并不能够全面识别风险。 

输入，项目管理计划，项目文件协议，采购文档，事业环境因素，组织过程资产用到六个工具。专家判断，数据收集，数据分析，人际关系与团队技能提示清单。会议核对单包括需要考虑的项目行动或要点的清单，常被用作提醒功能。

核对单可以基于类似项目的历史信息编制核对单，基于风险分解结构的底层编制核对单，也可以是行业中通用的风险核对单，拿核对单来对照本项目，看本项目是否可能会发生这些风险。每个项目都具有独特性，所以核对单要及时审查，随时调整，以便编制出新的核对单。
